An electric bike (e-bike) is a bicycle equipped with an electric motor and a battery. The motor assists with pedaling, providing varying levels of assistance to make riding easier and more efficient. Riders can control the assistance level through a display on the handlebars. E-bikes allow you to ride farther and tackle hills with less effort than a traditional bicycle, blending the benefits of cycling with the convenience of electric power.
Riding an electric bike (e-bike) is easy and similar to riding a regular bicycle. It helps you pedal with an electric motor, so starting and going uphill are smoother. E-bikes make cycling more fun and accessible for everyone!
To rent an electric bike you will need to be at least 18 years of age. You must be at least 16 years old to use an e-bike.
The state of Florida legally requires that you must be at least 16 years old to use an e-bike.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing suitable for the weather.
A valid state issued photo ID that includes your picture and birthdate is required to rent an electric bike. Examples of an ID include a driver's license, passport, or government-issued identification card. If the rider is under the age of 18 but at least 16 years of age, their parent/legal guardian will need to provide their valid photo ID as permission for their child to ride and must be present.
Everyone must sign a liability waiver/rental agreement to participate.
We also recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, and anything else you need to have fun in the sun!
Yes, electric bike weight limits are primarily between 220-300 pounds per electric bike. We reserve the right to make judgment calls based on passenger weight. This is for your safety and overall enjoyment. Safety is our #1 priority!
No. Intoxicants are strictly prohibited. For the safety of our guests, service will be refused to anyone under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Consuming alcohol affects your decision-making abilities and delays your response time. This could pose a risk on a bike, particularly on those capable of high speeds like electric bikes.
If a renter/rider/operator damages an electric bike, they are fully responsible (like a rental car). Before you head out for your ride, we review all the rules and essential operating/safety procedures. The renter/rider/operator is responsible for any physical or bodily damage that occurs while the electric bike is being operated under the renter’s consent. The electric bike will be inspected after each use for damage. Repairs for damages will be at the renter's expense.
If it is determined by E-Go Depot at the end of the rental period that no damages occurred during your electric bike rental reservation, then you will not be charged for any damage fees and any damage deposits will be returned to the customer in a timely manner.
We require a deposit of $50 to ensure your reservation time and as an incidental. This is refundable after your ride if there are no damages, etc. and will be returned to the customer in a timely manner.
Florida weather forecasts can often be inaccurate, especially regarding precipitation. It might rain in one area while remaining sunny at the lake, even if rain is predicted.
OUR RECOMMENDATION: Book your reservation for your preferred time, and if the weather turns bad, we'll contact you to reschedule for later that day or another day. We constantly monitor the weather to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip!
If it is very bad weather at the time of your rental, you will not be charged a cancellation fee. However, we do not cancel reservations based on a weather forecast unless the conditions at the time of your reservation are deemed unsafe. Please take into account that we will make this decision based on weather around the area of where the ride is supposed to take place.
If it is raining someplace else or the weather is just cloudy, it doesn’t mean that you can cancel your ride. In this case if you do cancel, you will lose your reservation deposit and our regular cancellation policy applies to the reservation.
We will give refunds when appointments are cancelled 48 hours before. We do not issue refunds if your rental time was interrupted, cancelled, or terminated by misuse of machinery or intolerable behavior, intoxicated, impaired, etc. You also may not receive a refund even if the electric bike malfunctions during your time.
A 48-hour cancellation policy applies to all reservations; reservations canceled after the 48-hour period is 100% non-refundable.
Please be sure to arrive 30 minutes before your reservation time to find parking, promptly review all of the required documents, and begin the safety and operation training.
You should plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to your reservation to be able to park and meet us at the ride location, review all of the required documents, and begin the safety and operation training. If you arrive later that 10 minutes past your scheduled reservation time, you will need to rebook and no refunds will be issued. This will also cut into your ride time, as we will still need to review all of the required documents and go over safety/operational procedures. Please understand that no refunds can be given as we could not book the electric bike(s) to another customer during your scheduled time. Any no shows or change in the amount of electric bikes reserved will NOT be refunded. If you wish to reschedule or cancel your reservation, you must call in advance at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled rental time. If not done within that time frame, no refunds will be issued and there may not be a possibility of rescheduling for another date.
